1. Create backup plan
Create a new backup plan from the start page of the program (1).

2. Select output location
Next, select the storage type you wish to use. In this example, the files will be backed up to a USB flash drive, which is why "Local drive or network drive" is selected (1). Click "Next" to proceed (2).

3. Select backup drive
Then, select the drive that will hold your backups (1) and click "Next" (2). This example uses a USB flash drive.

4. Enter a name for the backup plan
Next, name your backup plan (1). Make sure to use a meaningful name to make it easier to tell your various plans apart. Click "Next" to proceed (2).

5. Select backup plan preset
Afterwards, select "Daily backups of the 'Documents' folder" (1) and click "Next" (2). This will take care of the remaining settings for you.

6. Check summary
Finally, you'll be presented with a summary that lists all relevant settings for the new backup plan. Click "Back" to make changes or "Next" to conclude the process (1).

7. Start backup
Click "Start Backup" to run the plan now (1).

8. Backup plan status
The overview page summarizes the status of your backups in three clickable categories. Select "View Backup Plans" to display additional details.
