Videos don't always turn out the way we want. A myriad of annoyances like unsteady hands, visual distortion, noise, unsuitable lighting or blurriness can quickly ruin otherwise great recordings. Here's how you can boost the quality of your videos in just three steps.
1. Add video
Simply drag (1) your video out of Windows Explorer and drop (2) it into the program window.
Alternatively, you can also click "Click to open" (1) and, select your file through the file chooser dialog (2) and click "Open" (3).
Your video will now be imported. By default, Ashampoo Video Optimizer Pro launches in "easy" mode. This mode is the fastest way to optimize your videos. We'll cover "advanced" mode in another article.
2. Select optimizations
"Easy" mode offers a number of optimizations (1). Select the optimizations you wish to apply to your video.
For this example, I'll use the "Glow" effect for more vibrant colors. Select "Effect" (2) and then "Glow" (3). Confirm your selection with "OK" (4).
I'll also use "Sharpness" (5) and "Img. noise" (image noise) (6) to enhance visual details.
3. Almost done - Crop and export
The third step involves cropping your video. Use the left preview to locate the exact positions for your cuts. Simply left-click to start playback and click again to pause (1). Then, click "Current frame" either on the left (2) or the right side to use the current position as beginning / end for the cropped video. Finally, click "Export selection" to apply your settings (3).
Depending on the size of the video and your PC, optimization can take some time.
Here's the before / after view for your example.
4. Expert tip
You can also optimize multiple videos in a row. Simply drag and drop or add additional videos as described in step 1. Then, individually select your desired optimizations for each video (1). Finally, select all videos by pressing Ctrl + A and click "Export selection" to process all videos sequentially (2).
