Basics
Most sections follow the layout "source text (1), AI settings (2), target text (3)". Simply input your text into the source text field, adjust the AI settings and start processing. The result will then appear in the target text field.
Depending on the feature, additional buttons to copy the text to the clipboard (4) or insert it into the previously active window (5) will appear next to generated text entries.
There may also be a link-based shortcut to the general AI settings (6).
Finally, "Translate & Improve" gives you the option to save your current settings as a macro (7) to reuse them without manual program interaction via keyboard shortcuts later.
Translate & Improve
This feature revises existing texts. If you receive a text in a language unknown to you, you can use "Detect language" to find it out.Generate Text

Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts allow you to instantly access individual program sections without the need for manual program activation.For example, when you're writing an email, hitting Ctrl+C twice will instantly open "Translate & Improve" and auto-insert your selected text. Click the text fields to specify your own keys.
Shortcuts with text fields preceded by a single "Ctrl" are usable via Ctrl + your key.
Shortcuts with textfields preceded by "Ctrl + C" require that you first hit Ctrl + C followed by Ctrl + your key to use them.
Macros
You can think of macros as keyboard shortcuts with pre-determined parameters (like improve text and use friendly language). Unlike regular shortcuts, macros require no futher interaction with Ashampoo AI Assistant and carry out operations in the background. Once complete, results will be auto-inserted into the currently active application e.g., MS Word.All macros are based on "Translate & Improve".
Executing macros always requires pressing Ctrl + C followed by Ctrl + your key. The idea is that you first select text in your application e.g., MS Word, which gets copied to the system clipboard when you hit Ctrl + C. The macro then processes your text in the background and auto-inserts it into the application, replacing the selected text.
